Experiments at the Swiss Light Source

At the Swiss Light Sourse we are have experiments running at two beamlines, microXAS and Phoenix, for hard- and soft-Xrays. Experiments involve pumping samples with a femto/pico second laser pulse from a laser synchronized to the X-ray source, and probing with an X-ray pulse.  Two types of laser sources are currently in use, one femtosecond source with kHz repetition rate, and  a ps source with repetition rates adjustable from 100 kHz to 1 MHz.
